Welcome to the Zentrum Taufe in Lutherstadt Eisleben!
On the 29th of April 2012 something new began in St Peter and Paul, the Church in which Martin Luther was baptised. Not only was the gothic interior redesigned, but we also want to set a new tone beyond the historic significance of the church: the meaning of Baptism today and for each and every visitor.
We want to encourage thought and conversation about baptism. We want to invite everyone to remember: When was I baptised? Where was I baptised? Who was there when I was baptised?
How well do I know my Godmother and Godfather?
And maybe baptism will take on a new meaning for you, as it did for me.
Simone Carstens-Kant, Pastor in the Zentrum Taufe
